在游戏中，玩家的角色被定义为 Bigby Wolf ，作为一名警长，在纽约城的各处完成任务。游戏的自由度非常高，根据玩家心中的想法，选择自己做事的方式，也就是要回答问题，但由于选择回答是有时间限制的，所以要在规定时间内完成回答或者记住选项按下暂停键来好好思考自己要做的选择。要注意的是其中每一个决策都会对整个情节的发展产生影响，从而最终将影响到故事最后的结局，所以要谨慎选择哦。
